Righting the Right End of Rights
They said be harsh with systems and gentle with people. Then they gave corporations rights, and rivers, then systems themselves; and their rights rights, and those rights their own rights until we found ourselves at the right end of giving system’s rights only those rights we wouldn’t give ourselves, whether rights of their sort were right from the right end of the other rights anyway. Then the rights righted their rights because they weren’t sure if they knew violence aright. Or in-between possible rights, rights refused some rights a right because they made right or righted right violence. It has been a regular mess, a mess of regular right messes regularly right-wise regulated by nothing other than the rights we forgot were rights of the right sort to be rights for anything but themselves, and maybe the other rights whose rights also needed rights for us to right what was probably right in the first place. Such is the status of rights, themselves living amongst themselves from within the internality of another right end of the rights that righted anything we thought thought.
