is declarative programming popular in Pascal? you see chaining as a result of the declarative syntax. is it really any different from html?

the things we build could be flatter and avoid the declarative imperative, but what would be the result? html that is wired up to data in imperative style? without promises and only servers rendering pug, jade, xslt, html, etc. templates? ban js altogether and go full apple hypercard hypermedia control? i don’t know, but the sintax often accommodates whether TypeScript monks or OLOO streamer, html’s able to convey links, so the concept of a link list is available to express through URI
